In at the Deep End has been shortlisted for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for comic fiction! Whoever wins gets a pig named after their novel, and quite a lot of champagne. It’s a rollover year, so apparently it’ll be a particularly large pig this year.

Lots of other amazing books on the shortlist: Vacuum in the Dark by Jen Beagin, Old Baggage by Lissa Evans, Charlie Savage by Roddy Royle, Francis Plug: Writer in Residence by Paul Ewenand, Reasons to be Cheerful by Nina Stibbe.
